What types of food businesses is the Custom FCP / RMP App for?
The Custom FCP / RMP App is for food manufacturers, meat/poultry/seafood/dairy processors, and exporters operating under custom Food Control Plans or Risk Management Programmes. If your operation is too complex for a template FCP, this app is built for you.
Can the Custom FCP / RMP App handle my existing approved FCP or RMP?
Yes. We take your existing approved plan and configure the app around it. Nothing changes about what gets recorded. The process just moves from paper to digital.
What happens during the setup call?
A QC professional (who runs a processing plant themselves) reviews your operation, configures your forms, sets up your team accounts, and walks you through the daily workflow. Takes about 15 minutes.
Do I need to change my approved plan to use the Custom FCP / RMP App?
No. Your approved plan stays exactly as it is. The app digitises the recording side, not the plan itself. Same forms, same CCPs, same corrective actions.
Can I use generic HACCP software instead?
Generic tools handle basic recording but don't understand NZ custom FCP or RMP structure. Your plan has specific CCPs, monitoring procedures, and verification schedules. The Custom FCP / RMP App is built around NZ regulatory requirements.
What happens if we fail an MPI audit?
MPI increases your audit frequency from every 12 months to 9, 6, or 3 months. Each visit costs hundreds at $230.50/hr. Repeated failures can mean fines from $13,000 to $149,000. The most common finding is incomplete or missing records.
How is the Custom FCP / RMP App different from the Template FCP App?
The Template FCP App is for businesses on template FCPs (restaurants, cafes, food retailers). The Custom FCP / RMP App is for manufacturers and processors whose compliance is too complex for templates. Different regulatory frameworks, different products.
Does the Custom FCP / RMP App work offline?
Yes. Your team can log records without internet. Data syncs automatically when connectivity returns. Built for cold stores and production floors where WiFi is unreliable.
How many people can use it?
Essentials supports up to 10 users, Professional up to 30, and Enterprise is unlimited. No per-user charges within your plan limit.
What about data security?
All data is hosted on NZ/AU infrastructure. Role-based access controls, tamper-evident audit trails, and encrypted connections. No third-party analytics or tracking.
Can we export our data?
Yes. One-click PDF and CSV exports for any time period. Your data is always yours. Full export available at any time.
Is there a free trial?
